Introducing EeveeSpotify

EeveeSpotify is a powerful tweak that tricks Spotify into thinking you have a Premium subscription, allowing unlimited playback just like Spotilife did in the past — plus some extra features like customizable lyrics.

📜 The History

In January 2024, Spotilife — the only working tweak for Spotify Premium — stopped working on newer app versions. After reverse-engineering Spotify and analyzing Spotilife, the developer created EeveeSpotify as a more stable and modern replacement.

⚠️ Limitations (Don’t open issues for these)

Due to server-side restrictions, the following features will NEVER work, and are outside the scope of EeveeSpotify:

• Very High audio quality

• Native playlist downloading (podcasts are downloadable)

• Spotify Jam (only in-person joining works)

• AI DJ / Smart Playlists

• Spotify Connect (it acts as a remote, not streaming client)

While local song downloads are technically possible, they are not part of EeveeSpotify unless someone contributes them via a pull request.

🎵 Lyrics Enhancement

EeveeSpotify replaces Spotify’s limited lyric access with one of these four sources:

• Genius – Most accurate and updated, but no time-sync.

• LRCLIB – Open and time-synced, but lacks many lyrics.

• Musixmatch – Spotify’s original source. Requires a user token (you can extract it from Musixmatch via Settings > Get help > Copy debug info).

• PetitLyrics – Great for Japanese lyrics with time-sync.

If a lyric fails to load or is incorrect (especially with Genius), you’ll see an error message. This is expected behavior in rare cases — avoid opening bug reports unless the issue is persistent.

⚙️ How It Works

Starting with version 4.0, EeveeSpotify intercepts and modifies user data requests in real-time, which is faster and more stable than older methods.

Previously, the tweak modified Spotify’s local cache file (offline.bnk) to simulate a Premium user by replacing it with a preconfigured premium version. If Spotify refreshes user data and reverts to Free, the tweak offers a quick restart/reset option to restore Premium status.

Additionally, the tweak enables liked songs rows on artist pages and loads full track lists, just like a real Premium account.
